Fifteen Date Ideas.

Because I'm lame and everyone keeps talking about Valentines Day, aaand my workbook at work had a "perfect date" quiz in it, I may or may not be looking up cute things on Pinterest.

So, I'm going to list my top favorite date ideas either from my own noggin or from what I have found online.
Ready?!

1. Build a fort! (I've been suggesting this for awhile). I want to build a blanket fort, watch a movie, and camp inside the fort all night. Microwave S'mores are invited.

2. Wake up early and watch the sunrise together. I, of course, would bring my camera. This sounds perfectly amazing to me. If it were followed by breakfast, that'd be even better.

3. Drive-In movie. I wish the movies in Newton weren't always so lame; I don't really care though. I want to share popcorn and sit on top of the car on a summer night.

4. Sunset, picnic and a bottle of wine. We'll lay out the afghan, make some sandwiches, and look at the stars. I'd even be okay with this being in my backyard after the sunset.

5. Fire and beer on my patio. Sarah and I have so many memories back there, so this would be a perfect, cheap, double date.

6. Sunday New York Times crossword puzzle. When I saw this, I giggled. I know who'd be doing all the work.

7. Walk around my childhood neighborhood. I've always like walking around my neighborhood, especially on nice nights and watching/listening to the interstate. It's been my comfort since I can remember. And wow, my childhood neighborhood has never changed!

8. Go listen to jazz. I'd like to go out and listen to jazz, but I'd also like to have a night in listening to jazz.

9. Try new foods. Go somewhere neither have gone before, try something new, and taste each other's food! Either that, or make something new together.

10. Bake cookies. Simple. Bring on the frosting and sprinkles!

11. Bake flavored cupcakes!

12. Three-hour make-out session. (Whoa this idea is crazy). Find a place and bring the stop watch!

13. Photo hunt in the city you grew up in. (Or one of you grew up in). Make a list of things to find, use disposable cameras, and see how different your photos are.

14. 20 Questions. Make a list of 20 questions to ask each other; ask over dinner or just while staying in.

15. (I stole this word for word copy and paste style from a blog. I think it's so cute)!
“First date” night
This one works best if it’s not your actual first date. Like, for example, you’ve been together for 3 years & live in the same house. Get dressed separately, meet somewhere strange & a bit awkward, & pretend you don’t know one another. Start from scratch. Ask all those banal questions you’re supposed to ask (“So, what do you do?”). Then at the end of the night, rejoice that you’re in a relationship & not dating any more!

That's all folks. For now.
